The demands include further opening Canada’s dairy market to US farmers and overhauling an online streaming law that Washington says “discriminates” against American technology and media companies.

The US also wants Canadian provinces to lift bans on selling American liquor, which were imposed earlier this year in response to sweeping tariffs introduced by President Donald Trump.

Greer laid out the demands during testimony before a congressional committee on Wednesday as part of a broader review of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

Greer told lawmakers the USMCA has been “successful to a certain degree,” but said changes would be necessary for the agreement to continue.
