Lord Peter Mandelson has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, Katie Harris reported for the UK Express.

The Metropolitan Police said the 72-year-old was taken to a London police station for questioning.
The former Labour grandee has been accused of passing sensitive information to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during his time as business secretary. He has denied wrongdoing and apologized for his links to Epstein.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers have arrested a 72-year-old man on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He was arrested at an address in Camden on Monday, February 23, and has been taken to a London police station for interview.
This follows search warrants at two addresses in the Wiltshire and Camden areas.”
His arrest increases pressure on British Prime Minister Keir Starmer over his decision to appoint Lord Mandelson to the prominent US ambassador role despite his past links to Epstein.
The allegations surfaced after the US Department of Justice released additional Epstein-related documents last month.
The documents reportedly suggest Mandelson passed potentially market-sensitive information to Epstein in 2009 while serving as business secretary in Gordon Brown’s government.
