The disruption follows job cuts at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) by DOGE, a federal watchdog group accused of compromising aviation safety, Robert Hubbell reported in his newsletter.
Hubbell accused DOGE of reckless interference, linking the job cuts to broader chaos within the FAA.
“The hackers at DOGE have no clue about the damage their actions are having on the safety and security of Americans,” he wrote, warning that the consequences extend far beyond air travel.
Hubbell also raised concerns about government overreach in data collection, alleging that the Trump administration’s push to unmask Social Security data contributors mirrors its earlier targeting of institutions like Harvard and the state of Maine.
He urged the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold a lower court’s stay and block the administration’s latest request, saying the Court “has created a monster” and must now decide whether to restrain it.
