President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned on Saturday that Russian forces were preparing a major attack on Ukraine and urged residents to pay close attention to air raid alerts as missile and drone strikes continued across the country, Reuters reported.

"Tonight and in the coming hours, it is especially important to pay close attention to air raid warnings," Zelenskyy said in his nightly video address.
"The Russians have prepared for a massive attack. Please take care of yourselves."
Russian forces have launched repeated large-scale attacks on Kyiv and other major Ukrainian cities in recent weeks.
Strikes earlier in the week killed at least 10 people across Ukraine and caused significant damage to the historic Pechersk Lavra monastery, one of the country's most important religious and cultural landmarks.
Zelenskyy also vowed that Ukraine would continue its medium- and long-range strikes targeting Russia's oil and energy infrastructure.
