Through BSP Circular No. 1183, trust entities, including banks' trust departments and stand-alone trust corporations, have gained access to the primary market of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona Jr. signed the BSP Circular following amendments to the previous circular issued in October 2022, opening up the securities facility to trust entities. Last year, BSP only permitted trust entities to trade BSP securities via the secondary market, specifically unit investment trust funds (UITFs).
