4.8-M BlendJet Portable Blenders Recalled Due To Fire, Laceration Risks

BlendJet, a popular brand of portable blenders, is recalling 4.8 million BlendJet2 blenders due to potential fire and laceration risks, as reported by Melissa Alonso for CNN.

The company, in cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has issued a voluntary recall for the blenders, which were previously sold by major retailers including Amazon, Target, Costco, and Walmart.


The affected blenders, BlendJet2, are prone to overheating or having the blender blades break off.

BlendJet specified that currently available BlendJet2 blenders for sale are not impacted by the recall. Owners of earlier versions of BlendJet2 are urged to stop using the recalled blenders immediately.


According to the CPSC, the recalled blenders pose fire and laceration hazards to consumers.
