50% Of Russia’s 2023 Oil, Gas Exports Went To China

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that half of Russia's oil and petroleum exports in 2023 would go to China, with India's share rising to 40% in two years, as reported by Lidia Kelly for Reuters.

"The main partners in the current situation are China, whose share has grown to anywhere from 45% to 50%, and, of course, India," said Novak, who oversees Russia's energy sector.


"Earlier, there basically were no supplies to India; in two years, the total share of supplies to India has come to 40%," he added. Novak also mentioned that Europe's share in Russia's crude exports has fallen to between 4% and 5% from a range of about 40% to 45%.
