Aboitiz Group Pledges Support To PBBM's Infrastructure Agenda

The Aboitiz Group, a prominent conglomerate operating across various sectors including power, banking, food, infrastructure, land, and data science, has announced its commitment to aligning with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s infrastructure agenda, with a particular focus on energy and water solutions development.

President and CEO of the Aboitiz Group, Sabin Aboitiz, affirmed the conglomerate's dedication, stating, "We've had our past and we still have our future, and we look forward to aligning ourselves wholeheartedly with President Marcos Jr.'s agenda on infrastructure."


This declaration came as President Marcos and Mr. Aboitiz led the inauguration of the P12 billion Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project (DCBWSP) on February 7.



The project, boasting a production capacity of 300 million liters per day (MLD), is hailed as the largest of its kind in the country.


Aboitiz emphasized the significance of the Davao water project, highlighting its role as a model for future PPP projects across the Philippines. He stressed the importance of public-private partnerships in addressing the national agenda for improving water supply.



Moreover, Aboitiz underscored the success of the project as an exemplar of effective unsolicited private partnerships, showcasing the potential for mutually beneficial collaborations between public and private entities.


The Aboitiz Group's longstanding relationship with Davao City was also acknowledged, tracing back to the incorporation of Davao Light and Power Co.
