The company has partnered with top mining firm NickelAsia 's renewable arm, Emerging Power Inc in providing clean energy to the masses.

The two companies have come together via AboitizPower's subsidiary Jobin SQM Inc. (JSI) to sign a power supply agreement (PSA) that will provide solar energy to its retail electricity entities.

Sandro Aboitiz, AboitizPower's Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations, stated that the company was grateful to EPI for their relationship, which strengthened the company's retail business and put it in a better position for future expansion.

“We thank EPI for this partnership that puts AboitizPower’s retail business in a stronger position for growth,” said Aboitiz.

In accordance with the PSA, JSI will supply solar power capacity from its recently finished 100-megawatt (MW) Sta. Rita Solar Power Plant in Subic, Zambales to AboitizPower's retail electricity companies, Aboitiz Energy Solutions, Inc. (AESI), and Adventenergy Inc., in order to support the expansion of the retailers' respective product lines.

The year 2020 marked the beginning of the relationship between EPI and AboitizPower, when the two companies agreed to have EPI provide power to AboitizPower's renewable energy supply (RES) entities AESI and Adventenergy, Inc.
