The partnership, unveiled on Tuesday, is set to unfold in two significant phases. Initially, Ayala's hospital and clinics arm, Healthway Medical Network (HMN), will undertake the management of hospital operations for a period of up to 24 months, commencing in January 2024.
This interim phase is designed to ensure a seamless transition of FEU-NRMF operations to HMN, with oversight encompassing clinical, financial, and administrative aspects.
Following this initial phase, the collaboration will transition into a more comprehensive 35-year lease agreement, marking the full turnover of hospital operations. Both agreements are contingent upon the fulfillment of specific conditions, ensuring a carefully orchestrated integration.
Paolo Borromeo, President and CEO of AC Health, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome FEU-NRMF in our growing network of hospitals and clinics. By leveraging FEU-NRMF’s technical and academic expertise, we hope to deliver a better healthcare experience to our patients."
FEU-NRMF's President and COO, Juan Enrique Reyes, echoed the sentiment, acknowledging the evolving landscape of the healthcare industry.
"The increasing competition in the hospital industry prompted us to explore collaborating with Ayala. Seeing how they have built a vertically integrated system of hospitals in less than 10 years has been remarkable. We look forward to learning from the best and tapping their operational expertise to provide better opportunities for our patients, people, and students."
FEU-NRMF Medical Center, founded in 1955, has been a stalwart in serving the healthcare needs of the community and providing top-tier education in medical and allied health professions. The move to partner with AC Health reflects a strategic decision to bolster its capabilities in the face of growing demand.
This collaboration not only signifies a strategic alliance but also reflects a shared commitment to excellence in healthcare.
As AC Health and FEU-NRMF join forces, the healthcare landscape in Quezon City and beyond is poised for transformative growth, promising an even brighter future for patients, healthcare professionals, and students alike.
