The Department of Agriculture has launched its three core projects: the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) Scale-Up, the Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP), and the Philippine Fisheries and Coastal Resiliency (FishCoRe) Project.
The launch served as a venue to present the projects to partner stakeholders: the local government units (LGUs), the private sector, media, and beneficiaries, and to mark the official start of the implementation of the three projects of the Department. I Photo: Department of Agriculture
The launch served as a venue to present the projects to partner stakeholders: the local government units (LGUs), the private sector, media, and beneficiaries, and to mark the official start of the implementation of the three projects of the Department.
With the financing made possible through the DA's partnership with the World Bank, the three projects will focus on organizing and clustering farmer and fisherfolk associations and indigenous peoples' organizations engaged in agri-fishery activities.
They aim to consolidate their produce to attain economies of scale, reinvigorate collaboration with the private sector for better market linkage and technology access, and sustain partnerships with the local government units for more aligned national and local priorities in agriculture development.
