Artificial intelligence company Anthropic has submitted a confidential filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a potential initial public offering, according to a statement from the company, Matt O’Brien reported for The Associated Press (AP).

The filing allows the company to move forward with IPO preparations while keeping financial details private during regulatory review.
Anthropic said the timing, share price, and offering size have not yet been determined and will depend on market conditions. The company recently raised $65 billion in private funding, bringing its valuation to approximately $965 billion, according to industry reports.
Anthropic’s rapid growth positions it as one of the leading AI firms globally, alongside competitors such as OpenAI, as investor interest in artificial intelligence continues to surge.
