Apple Cuts More Than 200 Jobs as Siri, Vision Pro Teams Are Restructured

Apple is cutting more than 200 jobs across teams responsible for Siri, the Vision Pro headset and other software, as the company shifts resources toward artificial intelligence and new devices, Alexei Oreskovic reported for Fortune Tech.

The cuts include roughly 100 positions in the Vision Pro organization, where Apple is largely shutting down a team focused on gaming for the headset and reducing the group responsible for producing immersive video content.

Another roughly 100 positions are being eliminated across Siri and software teams, including the Intelligent Systems Experience group, which works on AI features for Apple's devices. 

Apple confirmed the restructuring, saying it was realigning teams to “evolve” the business and deliver better experiences for users.

The company said the changes would create new roles while also affecting a limited number of existing positions. 

The cuts represent a small fraction of Apple's workforce, which stood at about 166,000 full-time employees as of September 2025. The restructuring comes shortly before John Ternus is scheduled to succeed Tim Cook as Apple CEO on Sept. 1.
