The American people believe that Spanish-speaking Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny is more representative of the United States than an aging president whose hand is regularly slathered in concealer, Jack Revel reported for The Daily Beast.

A new poll conducted by YouGov in the aftermath of the Super Bowl last week found that 42% of respondents believe Bad Bunny “better represents America,” compared to 39% who selected President Donald Trump.

The poll was conducted among a representative sample of 1,700 Americans across the political, racial, and gender spectrum for Yahoo! News between Feb. 9 and Feb. 12.

The poll also highlights deep polarization in the country, with 77% of Democrats approving of the choice of Super Bowl headliner, compared with just 13% of Republicans.

Those who consider themselves independents are even more adamant that Trump is less representative of America than the rapper. Just 27% say he represents the country, while 46% back the musician.
