The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has remitted a total of ₱5.7 billion to the Bureau of the Treasury, driven by a record ₱2.6 billion in dividends, according to BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang.

The remittance is 5% higher than the ₱5.45 billion recorded in 2025, marking BCDA’s continued contribution to funding infrastructure, social services, and military modernization.
Bingcang attributed the performance to strong results from BCDA’s economic zones and strategic partnerships.
The agency said the ₱2.6 billion dividend payout is the highest in its history, representing an 18.18% increase from ₱2.2 billion in 2025.
This accounts for 61% of BCDA’s net earnings, exceeding the 50% minimum requirement under Republic Act No. 7656.
Of the total dividends, ₱300 million has been allocated to help the national government cushion the impact of rising fuel prices on vulnerable sectors, underscoring BCDA’s role in supporting Filipinos amid economic pressures.
The remaining ₱3.09 billion of the remittance came from asset disposition proceeds, which will be distributed to beneficiary agencies, including a significant share for the Armed Forces of the Philippines modernization program.
BCDA also remitted ₱25 million in guarantee fees to the Treasury in relation to the government’s loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency for the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway.
“Every peso we remit translates to real improvements in people’s daily lives,” Bingcang said.
“This is how we ensure our work creates an impact that people can see and feel.”
“We ensure that every peso due to the government is remitted accurately and on time. Accountability is how we protect public resources for the benefit of every Filipino,” he added.
Meanwhile, Frederick D. Go said the remittance is equivalent to funding around 330 kilometers of roads, 2,300 classrooms, or 1,700 hospital beds nationwide.
He added that the amount could also support approximately 3,800 housing units under the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Program.
“BCDA is a catalyst of progress, creating platforms and jobs that uplift millions of Filipinos,” Go said.
