California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom defended President Joe Biden's economic record during an exclusive Monday night interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Brandon Gage reported for Alternet.

"I don't want him to fail. I think his policies are failing," Hannity replied. "CHIPS Act, Science Act, do you oppose that?" Newsom asked.



"Let's talk about them in order. Hang on. Wait, wait. Let, I wanna challenge the premise. You said the economy? 13.1 million jobs he's created more..." Newsom began to explain.


But Hannity interrupted. "These are post-COVID jobs. You know that Well, I mean, that, that's an artificial number," Hannity snipped. Newsom fired right back.

Combined!" the governor exclaimed.
