After five months of mostly consistent leads for Trump, Biden's surge follows a State of the Union address that energized Democrats and alleviated concerns about Biden’s age.
The shift was particularly notable in Wisconsin, where Biden now leads Trump by one point after trailing by four points in February, and in Pennsylvania, where they are tied after Trump held a six-point lead last month.
Similarly, they are tied in Michigan, according to reports by Elena Mejia and Jenna Haque for Bloomberg News.
While it remains uncertain whether this improvement is a temporary surge or the start of a more enduring trend, Biden still trails behind the presumptive GOP nominee in four pivotal states.
However, victories in the "Blue Wall" northern battlegrounds would significantly bolster Biden's chances for a second term.
The poll also indicates that consumers have a more positive outlook on the national economy.
The poll, conducted among 4,932 registered voters with an overall margin of error of 1 percentage point, provides insight into the candidates' standing as they gear up for what is anticipated to be the most expensive campaign in history.
