Bob Iger Raps Disney’s Moves Under Chapek

Bob Iger, who returned as Disney's CEO after the board fired Bob Chapek, publicly expressed disappointment in Disney's performance under Chapek's tenure.

Speaking at the New York Times' DealBook Summit, Iger revealed his dismay during the transition period, emphasizing that he worked hard to distance himself from the situation. He mentioned ongoing efforts to fix problems and deal with challenges, some of which resulted from decisions by his predecessor.
Regarding Disney's decision to pull ads from X (formerly Twitter) after Elon Musk's controversial comments, Iger acknowledged his respect for Musk's accomplishments but stated that Disney found its association with Musk and X/Twitter, given Musk's public position, not necessarily positive for the company.
