Boeing is pushing to rebuild its reputation and production rhythm as it battles to fix long-running quality issues in its 737 factory, with early signs of a turnaround emerging from the shop floor, Bloomberg News reported.

The company’s “war for quality” campaign has sharply cut defects, while output of 737s nears 42 jets a month — a milestone the company has been targeting.
Shutting down the factory for weekly meetings has also given workers a voice to flag flaws and suggest fixes — a cultural reset aimed at addressing a toxic top-down culture.
As the second anniversary of the Alaska Air near-calamity approaches, the planemaker is reinforcing the safety and quality strategy it crafted last year, incorporating feedback from employees and regulators.
