The federal police indictment, issued by the Supreme Court, alleges that Bolsonaro and his associates inserted false information into a public health database to fabricate vaccination records.

The investigation revealed multiple instances of falsified data entries and the use of fraudulent documents between November 2021 and December 2022.

Bolsonaro purportedly directed his aide-de-camp, Mauro Cid, to manipulate vaccination records for himself and his adolescent daughter. If convicted for falsifying health data, Bolsonaro faces a potential prison sentence ranging from two to twelve years.

Additionally, charges of criminal association could lead to a maximum jail term of four years. The indictment marks a significant legal challenge for the former president, whose tenure has been marred by controversy and polarizing policies.
