Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has again been fined by the state government of a political opponent for attending an event without a mask, Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa) reported.

Eduardo Bolsonaro, member of parliament and son of the president, and Infrastructure Minister Tarcisio Gomes were also fined 552.71 reais ($108) each, the newspaper Folha de S Paulo reported on Saturday.
According to the report, the three did not wear masks at a motorbike rally with thousands of supporters in the metropolis of Sao Paulo and thus violated the state's health regulations. The governor of the state of Sao Paulo, Joao Doria, is one of President Bolsonaro's rivals and possible opponents in the 2022 elections.
Only three weeks ago, Bolsonaro took part in a motorbike tour through the city of Rio de Janeiro and gave a speech to his supporters without covering his mouth and nose.
Two days earlier, the government of the state of Maranhao fined Bolsonaro because the right-wing populist had provoked a mass gathering of his supporters in the town of Acailandia and had not worn a mask, contrary to the law.
The governor of Maranhao, Flavio Dino, belongs to the Communist Party of Brazil.
