Cargill And ADM Spearhead Global Initiative For Safe Water And Sanitation

In a world where access to clean water remains a luxury for millions, the recent commitments from Cargill and ADM stand as beacons of hope.

With a combined investment of $3.1 million, these industry leaders are catalyzing change through Water.org's innovative WaterCredit program. This strategic partnership not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters sustainable solutions that ripple across communities in Southeast Asia and Latin America.


Cargill's pledge of $2.1 million underscores its dedication to reshaping the narrative of water accessibility.



This funding, spanning two years, targets Indonesia and the Philippines, directly impacting 300,000 individuals and 75,000 households.


By leveraging WaterCredit, small loans become lifelines, empowering communities to secure water and sanitation solutions. Moreover, this initiative extends beyond financial aid, fostering collaborations with local utilities to enhance service coverage and water quality.



Pilar Cruz, Cargill's Chief Sustainability Officer, emphasizes the transformative potential of such partnerships: "Our collaboration with Water.org will drive innovative solutions across Indonesia and the Philippines, transforming access to safe water and sanitation."


Echoing this sentiment, Gary White, CEO of Water.org, lauds Cargill's holistic approach, highlighting the significance of partnerships that transcend mere financial contributions.

Meanwhile, ADM's $1 million contribution further amplifies the impact across Latin America and Southeast Asia. With initiatives spanning Peru, Brazil, Mexico, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Indonesia, ADM's investment touches the lives of over 116,800 individuals.
