According to a CBS News poll conducted from September 12 to 15, President Joe Biden enjoys overwhelming support from voters under 30 and those aged 30 to 44, making him the preferred choice among the largest block of voters for the 2024 election, Sarah K. Burris reported for Raw Story.

The poll reveals that among voters under 30, there is a record-high 65 percent support for Biden, while for those aged 30 to 44, Biden enjoys 56 percent support. I Photo: President Joe Biden Facebook
Burris also noted that this group of voters remains unfazed by defeated former President Donald Trump's claim that Biden is too old to hold the Oval Office. Biden, at 80 years old, and Trump, at 77, are not the youngest candidates.
The poll reveals that among voters under 30, there is a record-high 65 percent support for Biden, while for those aged 30 to 44, Biden enjoys 56 percent support.
Conversely, the least support for Biden comes from those over 65, with Trump securing 35 percent among those under 30 and 44 percent among those aged 30 to 44.
Furthermore, the poll sheds light on the significance of the abortion issue to young voters.
Nearly half of voters under 30 (47 percent) stated that the abortion issue makes them more inclined to vote for Democrats, as opposed to 27 percent who said the GOP stance on the issue is more appealing, and 25 percent who expressed that it doesn't matter.
When discussing Biden's qualities, respondents see him as calm (63 percent), predictable (61 percent), caring (50 percent), and describe him as "no-nonsense" at 35 percent.
In contrast, Trump is viewed as "no-nonsense" by 55 percent but did not register significantly as "calm" or "caring."
