Century Pacific Food Inc. (PSE: CNPF) reported unaudited first-quarter 2026 results showing resilient growth despite global uncertainty and rising input costs.

The company posted consolidated revenues of ₱23.0 billion, up 15% from the same period last year.

Operating income rose 17% year-on-year, while net income after tax increased 10% to ₱2.1 billion.

About 80% of CNPF’s revenues came from its branded segment, which includes marine, meat, milk, coconut, and other emerging categories. The remainder came from OEM exports in tuna and coconut products.

The branded business sustained its volume-led momentum from 2025, delivering 11% growth amid continued demand for affordable and trusted food brands.

OEM exports rebounded strongly, climbing 32% as tuna markets improved and global demand for coconut products remained steady.

Chief Financial Officer Chad Manapat said the company expanded its value-for-money offerings to help consumers cope with economic pressures.

New products launched during the quarter included Blue Bay Corned Tuna and Superbowl by Century Tuna, a ready-to-eat rice meal aimed at budget-conscious consumers.

Gross margin narrowed by 100 basis points to 25.1% due to higher input costs, though foreign exchange gains and cost controls helped offset the impact.

Operating margin improved slightly to 11.9%.

The company said expiring tax incentives pushed its effective tax rate higher, tempering bottom-line growth.

Management warned that ongoing tensions in the Middle East could create further headwinds but said the company remains focused on affordability, operational discipline, and long-term investments in capacity and supply chain improvements.
