In a recent statement, reported by Reuters’ Brenda Goh, the ministry said negotiations over price commitments for Chinese-made electric vehicles exported to Europe have also entered their final stage.
These updates follow a meeting in Paris between Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao and EU Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic.
The developments come amid ongoing friction after Beijing in April suspended a broad swath of rare earth exports—a move that disrupted global supply chains vital to automakers, aerospace companies, semiconductor firms, and defense contractors.
China said it “attaches great importance to the EU’s concerns” and signaled readiness to establish a green channel to fast-track qualified applications for rare earth exports.
