Filings show that parent company Seven & i Holdings expects to shut down 645 locations in fiscal 2026, significantly outpacing the 205 new stores it plans to open.

Some of the closures will involve converting traditional outlets into wholesale fuel locations, reflecting a shift in business strategy.

As of December 2025, the company operated more than 900 wholesale fuel sites in North America. Globally, 7-Eleven has over 86,000 stores across 19 countries.

Its North American arm, based in Texas, oversees more than 13,000 locations in the United States and Canada.
