Amidst this Covid 19 pandemic that has disrupted the way we live, there is among us, a special breed of people, the heroes among us, who make it a point to ease the burden of the front-liners who sacrifice body and soul to make us through this challenging time.

The Financial District doffs its hat for Bok Bok’s Inasal which had been busy scurrying from one hospital to another to deliver hot meals to the front-liners that were painstakingly prepared to the minute detail by the resto’s owner Bok Bocalan together with his partner Liza.

Bok’s attention to preparing delectable recipes stems from his other business pursuit, a detailing shop, and a passion for food, with his first venture, a burger concept, Charlie’s Bar and Grill . In the post-Covid scenario, he is eyeing his sights on a new venture: Cardiac Delight, an idea possibly borne by his advocacy towards front-liners.

After all, Bok Bok’s Inasal arose from his sampling of the Bacolod deli when he visited the place of  his partner of 14 years, Liza.

So far, Bok Bok’s Inasal  has prepared and delivered food packs for the following hospitals: Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center; Rizal Medical Center Pasig; FEU-Nicanor Reyes Memorial Foundation; Quezon City Medical Center; Veteran’s Hospital and last night at The Medical City – Ortigas.
