Crocs, known for their foam footwear and non-slip nature, have been favored by kids and adults alike. However, incidents of Crocs being sucked into escalator mechanisms have led to warnings and bans.

Images posted on Reddit (a popular social media news aggregator) show escalator signage stating, "Crocs are banned on all escalators" and urging people to "take extra care when wearing."

These warnings follow several incidents, including a four-year-old girl almost losing her foot at Sydney airport when her Croc got stuck in an escalator.

A US-based personal injury law firm, TSR Injury Law, explained that the shoes generate friction, making them susceptible to getting drawn into the escalator's mechanism, potentially causing harm.

Although some children have experienced frightening accidents involving Crocs on escalators, many people were unaware of the risk.

Parents and concerned individuals are now calling for increased awareness and signage in public spaces with escalators to prevent such incidents. Crocs declined to comment on the matter.
