Cuba has reported that 2,353 patients have recovered from COVID-19 out of 2,588 cases in the island nation for a very high 92% recovery rate, Dr. Francisco Duran, national director of Epidemiology, said on Wednesday (July 30, 2020 in Manila.)

At his regular morning press briefing to update the situation of the pandemic in Cuba, the expert noted that one patient was discharged from hospital in the past 24 hours, a number that is very low, compared to 33 new cases reported, Prensa Latina reported.

He added that 146 patients still suffer suffering from the disease, including 145 who are stable and one who is in a critical state.

The expert pointed out that 326 patients remain under clinical-epidemiological surveillance at hospitals, while 3,339 persons are being monitored at home, at the primary care level.
