A Russian army sergeant has detonated an anti-personnel fragmentation grenade in a military base in Russia's Belgorod region, killing at least three other soldiers, Lila Randall reported for The Telegraph.

The grenade ignited ammunition stored in neighboring buildings in the village, Russian media reported, setting off more sympathetic explosions.
The Baza Telegram channel, which is linked to Russia's security services, said that it took firemen four hours to extinguish the blaze. Other Russian media reported that the blasts injured 16 mobilized men from the Sverdlovsk region in the Urals. Nine soldiers are still missing.
A former Siberian policeman convicted of killing 80 women and purportedly eating their flesh has asked the Wagner Group to take him out of prison and send him to Ukraine, bragging that his skills in murdering people and mutilating them are needed by the private military company owned by Yevgeny Prigozhin, who also doubles as the chef of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
However, Mikhail Popov was not quite an expert in keeping his crimes away from prosecutors, who accused him of killing and raping 80 women by picking them up on the streets of Siberia and won his conviction.
Yet, Popov maintains his expertise is “in demand” by the Wagner Group and the Russian Army, whose troops have been charged with more than 1,000 counts of rape in Ukraine.
