Donald Trump Emerges Victorious In North Dakota GOP Caucuses

Donald Trump has clinched a victory in the North Dakota Republican presidential caucuses, further solidifying his position as GOP frontrunner.

The former president secured first place in voting across 12 caucus sites, outpacing his nearest rival, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, as reported by Jack Dura for the Associated Press (AP).

Trump's triumph in North Dakota comes as a notable addition to his recent successes, following a brief interruption when Haley secured her first victory in the District of Columbia's primary.

The focus now shifts to Super Tuesday, where results will pour in from 16 states and one territory, marking the single most significant delegate haul of any day in the presidential primary.

Both Trump and President Joe Biden, a Democrat, maintain dominant positions in their respective races, positioning themselves for securing their party nominations later this month.

In accordance with North Dakota's caucus rules, candidates become eligible to win delegates if they secure at least 20% of the vote. However, a candidate who attains a minimum of 60% of the vote receives all 29 of the state's delegates, enhancing the stakes of each victory.
