DoubleDragon Corporation has broken ground for the 680-room Hotel101-Madrid in a ceremony in Madrid, Spain.

Esteemed guests including the Minister of Economy, Finance, and Employment of the Region of Madrid, Rocio Albert Lopez-Ibor, and the Philippine Ambassador to Spain, Philippe J. Lhuillier, were in attendance.
DoubleDragon revealed to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) that renowned Ferrovial Construction has been awarded the construction contract for the project.
Leading the twin milestone events were DoubleDragon Chairman Edgar Injap Sia II, Hotel101 CEO Hannah Yulo-Luccini, and DoubleDragon Co-Chairman Tony Tan Caktiong. Officers of Ferrovial Construction Group, represented by Juan Luis Junguito Oppelt, Belen Marquina Susin, and Manuel Angel Sanz Pecharroman, along with Equicom Group Chairman Antonio L. Go, were also present.
DoubleDragon emphasized Ferrovial's stature as one of Spain's largest construction companies. Full-scale construction of the hotel is slated to commence in April 2024, with completion scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.
