The company has been ramping up its nationwide expansion and the landing of its joint infrastructure project, the $150-million Philippine Domestic Cable Network (PDSCN). Zamboanga City has served as an entryway for the telco to further expand Eastern's suite of telco and ICT services in the province.
In line with its nationwide digitization initiative, Eastern's PDSCN project seeks to enhance mobile and broadband connectivity by making fiber internet accessible in Zamboanga and other underserved areas in the Philippines.
As of this date, the PDSCN project has successfully reached a total of 33 sites including Iloilo, Bacolod, Boracay, Cebu, Siargao, Camiguin, and Zamboanga Peninsula, among others.
Eastern provides an extensive portfolio of services that include Data Services, Internet Services, Voice Services, Managed Services, Data Centers, Cloud Services, and Cyber Defense Services.
The company hopes to serve the majority of businesses in Zamboanga such as manufacturing, trade and construction. "
The digitalization of Zamboanga City will further accelerate the growth of its local businesses," says Eastern's Co-Coordinator Vince Tempongko.
Digital transformation not only enhances business operations and transactions but also equips Filipinos with solutions that make them resilient and future-ready,” he concluded.
