However, he deleted the post after three hours, following its viewing by 11 million users and several news outlets, Beatrice Nolan reported for Business Insider.
Elon Musk recommended two accounts notorious for spreading misinformation to his followers on X (formerly Twitter). The billionaire suggested following these accounts for real-time updates on the Israel war.
He mentioned @WarMonitors and @sentdefender. Notably, both of these accounts had previously spread false claims, including one about an explosion near the White House in May.
It's worth mentioning that the War Monitor account has previously used derogatory language, including the term "jew."
This was reported by The Washington Post, citing a June X post, which has since been deleted. It's important to note that Musk has faced allegations of antisemitism in recent weeks following a dispute with the Anti-Defamation League regarding the dissemination of antisemitic content on X.
