Ex-Gun Firm Exec: Racism, Hate Fuel Mass Shootings

Ryan Busse, a former executive who spent 25 years at Kimber America, a major gunmaker, said gun purchases ballooned after Obama won the presidency, with sales tripling before he left the White House.

From 7 million guns in 2007, the annual sales skyrocketed to 23 million, indicating a rabid fear or hate during the years of a Black administration.

Busse, now an advocate of gun control with Giffords, a group advocating gun violence prevention led by former Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who survived an assassination attempt, said the National Rifle Association (NRA) has gone bonkers by being irresponsible and refusing tighter regulations of gun purchases.

“I think we might be on the precipice of things getting much worse. I think this Bruen decision, quite possibly will unleash so many lawsuits against so many counted-upon regulations that citizens may wake up to the equivalent of, like, no stop signs in their town anymore, except for it’ll be on gun regulation,” he said.

“You see the old self-imposed responsibility; those old norms of behavior have been just completely trashed. So, we can, as a society, demand the reinstatement of those norms. Those have nothing to do with laws. They don’t require legislation. They don’t require two-thirds of the vote in the Senate. We can demand that. And we may have to.”
