Noem, who led President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security from January 2025 to March 2026 and previously served as South Dakota’s governor, is seeking a divorce from Bryon Noem.

The couple married in May 1992 and have three children.

The filing was submitted to a South Dakota court in April and later posted online. The complaint, filed in Hamlin County, lists “irreconcilable differences” as the grounds for the divorce.

The filing comes after questions arose earlier this year about the nature of Kristi Noem’s relationship with former Trump adviser Corey Lewandowski. Noem has denied allegations of an affair.
