Falling Out Of Lucio Tan And Son-In-Law To Be Tackled In Company Meeting
Listed MacroAsia Corp today told the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) that a special board meeting of the company will be called soon to thresh out the details on the notice that was made in a broadsheet that bared the cutting of ties of taipan Lucio C. Tan with his son-in-law Joseph Chua.

The notice published yesterday read in part: “The public is hereby notified that Mr. Joseph Chua has no authority to represent Dr. Lucio C. Tan, the Tan family, and Lucio Tan group of companies. Any prior authority or representation given to Mr. Joseph Chua are deemed void and or revoked,” read a notice to the public published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer on 6 October 2021.
Chua is married to Rowena, daughter of taipan Lucio C. Tan with his first wife Carmen. The company disclosed that a special board meeting will be called at the soonest possible time for MacroAsia Corporation.
All issues will be addressed then, and appropriate disclosures will be made immediately thereafter.
