The suspect arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk has been identified as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, Yahoo News reported.

“We got him,” Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said Friday morning in announcing Robinson’s capture. According to Cox, a family member tipped off authorities through a family friend after Robinson confessed or implied responsibility.
Relatives said Robinson had grown increasingly political and mentioned at a recent family dinner that Kirk would be speaking at Utah Valley University.
Investigators believe Robinson acted alone. They said extensive evidence, including social media posts, tied him to Wednesday’s attack, when Kirk was shot while addressing a crowd of about 3,000 people.
The manhunt saw two others detained and later released before Robinson was surrendered by family members.
