The woman prosecutors called the “mastermind” of a massive fraud scheme to steal hundreds of millions of dollars in government aid was sentenced to nearly 42 years in prison, Andy Rose and Rob Kuznia reported for CNN.

Feeding Our Future founder Aimee Bock received a 500-month sentence more than a year after she was convicted of wire fraud and bribery. Former assistant US Attorney Joe Thompson said outside the courthouse, “It’s a long sentence, and Aimee Bock did everything she could to earn it.”
The sentencing comes as federal officials announced charges against 15 additional individuals accused of defrauding social service programs in Minnesota.
The pandemic-era fraud scheme involved more than $250 million in federal funds, with about $50 million reportedly recovered. Bock was also ordered to pay over $242 million in restitution.
