The company is offering mortgages in 10 U.S. states, with loans of up to $2 million.

Aven is positioning its mortgage service around a streamlined application and approval process.

Chief Executive Officer Sadi Khan has said the company can complete the process from application to closing in as little as seven days.

The stated timeline is a company claim rather than a guaranteed closing period for every borrower.

Actual processing times can depend on documentation, property appraisals, underwriting requirements and other factors.

The company's entry into the mortgage market reflects continued efforts by financial technology firms to compete with traditional lenders through digital applications and faster lending processes.
