Ford is recalling nearly 500,000 vehicles due to a brake defect that could increase crash risk, Kameron Duncan reported for Men’s Journal.

The recall covers 2016–2018 Lincoln MKX and 2015–2018 Ford Edge models. According to Ford, leaks in flexible brake hoses could increase pedal travel and stopping distances.
Low brake fluid levels would also trigger dashboard warnings.
“An increase in stopping distance increases the risk of a crash,” the automaker told dealers.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) urged affected owners to await official guidance before taking action.
