General Mills Recalls More Than 730,000 Pillsbury Rolls Over Possible Glass Contamination

General Mills has recalled more than 730,000 Pillsbury bread rolls sold through Walmart because they may contain glass fragments, Mike Snider reported for USA Today.

According to a recall notice posted on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's website, General Mills initiated the voluntary recall on June 19 involving 3,800 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls Hard Roll Dough and 1,260 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls Kaiser Roll Dough.

The products may contain "potential foreign material (glass)," the recall notice said.

The frozen dough products were distributed to Walmart stores in 19 states, where they were baked and sold in in-store bakeries.

General Mills said all affected baked rolls were removed from store shelves.

"Out of an abundance of caution, in mid-June we issued a voluntary recall of two frozen dough products baked onsite and sold exclusively at Walmart in-store bakeries in the United States," the company said in a statement.
