Globe Telecom continues to enhance customer experience by embedding real-time intelligence and automation into its network, aiming to ensure seamless connectivity even under challenging conditions.

At the center of this transformation are two key innovations: Automated Outage Response and Intelligent Traffic Management, both designed to minimize service disruptions and manage network congestion for millions of Filipinos.
Automated Outage Response enables Globe’s network to instantly detect disruptions and optimize nearby cell sites to help affected areas remain connected during unexpected outages or extreme weather events.
According to Globe, the system can retain up to 50% of data connectivity during outages, compared with less than 10% without the technology.
The feature helps maintain essential services such as SMS, app messaging, and voice calls during emergencies.
Meanwhile, Intelligent Traffic Management is designed to proactively address sudden spikes in network demand during concerts, holidays, traffic congestion, or emergencies.
By dynamically redistributing users to less congested cell sites with available capacity, the system aims to deliver clearer calls, smoother streaming, and faster browsing speeds during peak usage periods.
Globe said the initiative can improve user experience by up to 20%, making 4G and 5G connections more consistent and reliable under heavy network load.
The technologies have already been validated across Metro Manila, with nationwide deployment targeted for completion within 2026.
The initiative also aligns with the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s Oplan Bantay Signal campaign, which seeks to improve connectivity, service responsiveness, and network coverage across the country, including underserved and geographically isolated areas.
“Our vision is to build a network that thinks and acts in real time, adapting instantly to customer needs,” said Joel Agustin, senior vice president for Service Planning and Engineering at Globe.
“With automation and intelligence at the core, we are not just improving overall experience, we are redefining reliability and resilience for the digital age.”
By integrating intelligence and automation into its operations, Globe said it aims to strengthen network reliability, improve service consistency, and reinforce its role as a trusted digital connectivity provider in the Philippines.
