GREENPEACE CITES ALLIANCE SELECT

Homegrown seafood company Alliance Select Foods International Inc. (“Alliance Select” or the “Company”; PSE: FOOD) earned the top spot on Greenpeace Southeast Asia’s 2020 Cannery Ranking Report for the second cycle in a row.

The company earned the highest overall score of all Philippine tuna canneries surveyed, and was recognized for Sustainability of Sourcing Practices, Traceability, Legality and Equity categories.

For every survey cycle, Greenpeace Southeast Asia ranks the tuna canneries in the Asian region. FOOD’s No.1 Ranking in 2020 is the second time in a row that it has earned the top spot, following its No. 1 title in the 2018 Greenpeace Southeast Asia’s Tuna Cannery Report. 

It is also among the top 3 canneries in Southeast Asia, and for the Philippines in particular, ASFII is the only green rated cannery by Greenpeace.

For the first semester of 2020, FOOD reported consolidated net revenues of $35 million, and Operating Income of $0.3 million.

Alliance Select Foods International Inc. is a publicly listed seafood company that began as a tuna cannery in General Santos City, and has since expanded its product portfolio to serve customers worldwide.
