According to Retail Insight Network, the discounts cover groceries, grilling supplies, household essentials, outdoor products, toys, apparel, and other seasonal merchandise.

Sam's Club said it has reduced prices on more than 250 products, including snacks, grilling items, entertainment products, and fuel at participating locations.

The discounts are available in stores, on Walmart.com and SamsClub.com, and through the companies' mobile applications, with pickup and delivery available in many areas.

"This summer, we are making even more investments in price, with thousands of rollbacks across the products customers are shopping for most, including beef, fresh produce and beverages, grills, pools, toys and summer fashion apparel," Walmart U.S. Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer Julie Barber said.

She added that the initiative is intended to help customers save whether they are preparing for barbecues, vacations, or their weekly grocery shopping.
