Guillaume Jesel Now Global Brand President of TOM FORD BEAUTY, BALMAIN BEAUTY, Boutique Beauty Dev't

The Estée Lauder Companies (NYSE: EL) (“ELC”) announced today that Guillaume Jesel has been promoted to TOM FORD BEAUTY, BALMAIN BEAUTY and Boutique President, Global Brand Development, effective immediately.

Guillaume will report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Executive Group President, and to Tracey T. Travis, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, who oversees the company's merger and acquisition strategy, for her boutique business development responsibilities.


In this new role, Guillaume will continue to oversee TOM FORD BEAUTY and be responsible for the overall strategic direction, global development, management and growth of BALMAIN BEAUTY.



Guillaume will work closely with the leadership of BALMAIN to transform its visionary ideas into a luxury beauty brand with a global reputation. In addition to the newly added brand leadership responsibilities, Guillaume will continue to play a key role in the anticipated acquisition and investment strategy of Estée Lauder's boutique business development.

Guillaume's promotion to President of Global Brands is a recognition of his exceptional talent for building coveted brands and premier franchise chains. Over the past eight years, Guillaume has spearheaded signature innovations for TOM FORD BEAUTY and strategically expanded the brand's reach around the world, firmly establishing TOM FORD BEAUTY as a leader in luxury beauty.

Since taking over as Global Brand President in July 2016, Guillaume has led the brand to achieve a strong net sales compound annual growth rate and significantly improve the brand's ranking among the world's leading fragrances and cosmetics. The Global General Manager of TOM FORD BEAUTY will report to Guillaume, who will be announced at a later date.


Before leading TOM FORD BEAUTY, Guillaume spent ten years at M.A.C Cosmetics and was instrumental in propelling the brand to the number one position in the world's most prestigious cosmetics category.

Since joining Estée Lauder in 2000, Guillaume has held a number of other senior roles, including Vice President of Global Cosmetics Marketing at Estée Lauder and Senior Vice President of Global and North American Marketing at M.A.C Cosmetics. At Estée Lauder, he collaborated with Tom Ford on a limited-edition collection, the precursor to the stand-alone TOM FORD BEAUTY.
