The dispute between telehealth provider Hims & Hers and Danish drugmaker Novo Nordisk over weight-loss drugs appears to have taken an unexpected turn.

Novo Nordisk has agreed to sell Ozempic and Wegovy injectables, as well as a Wegovy pill, through Hims’ online pharmacy platform, Barron’s Daily reported.
Hims currently sells compounded versions of semaglutide—the active ingredient in Wegovy and Ozempic—through a legal pathway that allows pharmacies to bypass Food and Drug Administration approval under certain circumstances.
Under the new agreement, Hims will stop advertising those GLP-1 alternatives.
The deal effectively places Hims among a growing group of telehealth providers selling branded drugs online, similar to Ro, which sells Eli Lilly’s Zepbound through its own platform.
Advertising had been a key strategy for Hims to differentiate itself from major pharmaceutical companies, which it previously criticized for pricing drugs “for profits, not patients.”
The relationship between the companies has been uneven. In April 2025, they briefly partnered to distribute Wegovy through Hims, but the agreement lasted only one month.
Novo ended the partnership in June and accused Hims of “deceptive promotion” and selling knockoff versions of Wegovy.
