Honda's 1st Light Business Jet Flies Across U.S. Nonstop

Honda Aircraft will offer a new business jet capable of nonstop transcontinental flight across the US in an industry first, Nikkei Asia reported.

The company aims to attain type certification for the new plane, the HondaJet 2600, in 2028. Agreements have been signed with suppliers like US-based Garmin and Spirit AeroSystems for its production.

The company is targeting an estimated range of 4,862 kilometers with one crew member and four passengers, which would make it the world's only light jet capable of flying across the continental US.

The maximum capacity is 11 people, including up to two crew members.
