Israel Bombs Another Gaza Hospital, Earns Condemnation From WHO

The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) has described reports that a hospital in Gaza has been ordered to evacuate as "disturbing," and Red Cross and Red Crescent societies have demanded that Israel cease bombing medical facilities after a Baptist hospital was bombed in Gaza City, as reported by The Guardian.

The Palestinian Red Crescent stated earlier on Friday that its operations at Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City are under an "imminent threat" following an evacuation order from the Israeli military.
In an "urgent appeal" posted on Friday, the PRCS mentioned that the hospital served as "a sanctuary for over 400 patients and around 12,000 displaced civilians."
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that it is "impossible" for overcrowded hospitals to safely evacuate patients in a statement posted on social media.
He emphasized that hospitals in Gaza "must be allowed to perform their lifesaving functions" and insisted that they "must be protected." The WHO's regional office for the Eastern Mediterranean expressed concern regarding the reports of evacuation orders sent to Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza.
