Oracle Corp. shares have fallen 34% this year, dropping to $126 per share and reducing Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison's net worth by an estimated $66 billion, Douglas A. McIntyre reported for 24/7 Wall St.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ellison's fortune has declined to approximately $181 billion.

The report said Oracle's heavy investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure has weighed on investor sentiment. The company is reportedly committing $125 billion to AI data centers while generating revenue that is less than one-quarter of Microsoft's.

Oracle also faces additional financial obligations related to a planned data center project in Wisconsin.

According to the report, the company may be required to provide $7 billion in collateral under an agreement with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin to help protect consumers from potential electricity rate increases.

Oracle said in a statement: "We are committed to providing the financial guarantees needed to ensure there is no risk to Wisconsin ratepayers."

The dispute is expected to move to court.
